How Week Nine Has Been
A very eventful week in the BBNaija House which has seen everything entertainment related for the Housemates.
The last seven BBNaija Housemates will attest unequivocally to the fact that the week has been one of their most tasking weeks till date. They have had a rollercoaster ride of emotions and there have been times where there was a lack of energy but they had to truck on, powering on, on sheer adrenaline.
The Housemates were pleasantly shocked on Monday when the doorbell rang and in walked legendary singer, song writer and producer Don Jazzy accompanied by the DNA Twins. And if the Housemates were shocked at his presence, your guess is as good as ours when they were told they were going to record a song with him Ultimate HoH Efe was saddled with the burden of Nominating four Housemates for possible Evictions and he chose Bassey, Bally, TBoss and Debie-Rise.
The Housemates had barely gotten over the fact that they had just recorded a song with Don Jazzy less than 24hours ago, when the doorbell rang again and in walked TBase (one half of the dance hall sensation StreetMonks) now a renowned cinematographer and TV producer to prep the Housemates for the next part of their epic journey; they will have to shoot a music video, albeit by themselves, for the song they had just recorded the previous day.
Wednesday was arguably the most mentally draining day so far for the Housemates as they had to shoot their music video. They had spent some parts of the evening before as well as their waking hours prepping their shots, and as soon as Biggie sent in their props, they set out to shoot. It literally took the Housemates the entire day, and under the able directing of Bassey, they finally called a wrap to the shoot in the early hours of the next morning.
Even though they only went to bed in the early hours of the morning, the Housemates got up on Thursday and started their day shooting a viral video for the internet. They elected to go with the wedding theme between MARFE and quickly got that out of the way. With the viral video done, the next phase was shooting their very own horror movie “The Gathering”. The Housemates took turns directing the different elements of the movie and this saw them pulling another all-nighter. But no day is complete without some drama as Bisola and TBoss reopened an old grudge.
Friday started off with Biggie telling the Housemates they had to record a voice over trailer for their movie and it seemed the Housemates hadn’t run out of creative juices yet. They quickly penned down the script for their VO and Bally was elected to be the voice. He stepped into the glass booth in the lounge and was done recording in less than 20 minutes. Then it was time for them to create a malaria treatment inspired advert powered by Phamatex and LumapilForte. Friday night ended with Bassey getting crowned the winner in the Payporte Friday Night Arena games.
Saturday started off slow as the Housemates were allowed to stay in bed for a little longer than usual. But as soon as they woke up, Biggie and CloseUp toothpaste had an alphabet and word game for them to play. HoH Efe was to be the judge and with the remaining Housemates split into two groups, they were to associate a word to any letter he picked and act it out to him. With that done, all that was left was for them to get their supply of fresh party gear from Payporte, prep the Legend Party Room in time for the visit of DJ Lambo, and enjoy another epic Saturday night shindig.
The Housemates were woken up on Sunday by the arrival of Ruutos and their crew to get the Nominated Housemates ready for the Live Evictions Show which kicks off at 7pm WAT. Today’s show will see renowned singer and songwriter Praiz gracing the stage with his presence. Don’t forget to tune in as one of these Nominated Housemates (Bassey, TBoss, Debie-Rise and Bally)will be Evicted from the BBNaija House tonight.
