Quick Catch Up with Karen Igho
Karen has been a busy lady since winning Big Brother Africa: Amplified. She has acted in various movies including Blackberry Babes. She also made an appearance at AfricaMagic Entertainment’s Tinselacting the role of none other than herself.
Karen tells us about her acting career as well as what is making her tweet about love and relationships lately.
What was the Tinsel experience like?
It was wonderful and overwhelming, I met a lot of nice people from the cast and crew, and they were really amazing. I was so motivated and encouraged after the experience; I had to go back to acting school in the UK to brush myself up. Now I’m back with a bang!
Acting on soaps and in movies, which do you prefer?
Movies are one-offs in that you’re done almost immediately. Series take longer and are more challenging and help you connect and understand a character more, and this helps an artiste grow, so I’ll say soaps.
What acting projects are you working on at the moment?
None at the moment, even though I have a number of scripts lined up and shoots start soon. Watch out for Karen Igho!
What’s your take on relationships, you’ve been tweeting about it recently?
Relationships are about give and take, it’s not a one way thing. It’s about two people who love and understand each other and are willing to be together against all odds. I miss being in a relationship because I’m a relationship person. My tweeting about it is just me being real.
Karen adds that she recently featured on her younger brothers, Kido’s new single titled Jump and Pass.
