BBA: Season 8′s Hottest Talking Points

For 91 days, the Big Brother The Chase housemates entertained Africa. They made us sad and sentimental, they made us laugh out loud, they did things that made us cringe and they braved relationships that had us rooting for happy-ever-afters.
But on a more superficial level, it was their sense of style, the way they moved, and the things they said that got everyone’s attention.
We take a look at the signature quotes, quirks and cool fashion popularised by Season 8′s housemates that had us talking way before the show reached the finish line.
Kenya’s Huddah and Uganda’s Denzel
Huddah and Denzel only managed seven days in the Big Brother house before they were evicted, but they sure made a lasting impression.

Huddah made everyone gasp as she did morning exercises in her swimwear and Denzel, oh Denzel! Known for walking around in his boxer shorts all day, Biggie had to step in and tell the Ugandan to start wearing clothes.
Botswana’s Oneal
Besides being one half of The Chase’s most popular couple Oneza, Oneal had fans across the continent talking about his catch phrase: “At this particular juncture”.
He’s made this phrase so popular, that after he was evicted from the Ruby House, fans adopted this one-liner in every day conversation.

Malawi’s Oprah, uh, Natasha
For fans, no Saturday picnic was complete without The Natasha Show.

The Malawian wanted to get to know her housemates intimately, and what better way to do that than as the host of her own TV talk show. She took this opportunity to ask them all the tough questions fans wanted to know the answers to.
Dancing-mates
One thing the housemates weren’t shy about was showing off their dance moves. Standing in front of the mirror, they’d booty-hop or twerk, sometimes even do the electric slide, as long as they were moving to the beat.
While South Africa’s professional choreographer, Angelo introduced some smooth moves, it was Nigeria’s Beverly, Namibia’s Maria, Zimbabwe’s Pokello and Sierra Leone’s Bassey that really hit the floor in a memorable way.

And it was these signature dance moves that Bassey and Pokello showed off as they hit the stage at the finale.
Some of the other housemates even developed a trademark dance that was popularised by IK, Ethiopia’s Bimp and South Africa’s Angelo – check out the version they did at the finale.
Zambia’s Sulu
As one of the original Ruby housemates, Sulu took some musical inspiration from his housemates and what started out as a song he’d sing in the house and what they’d eventually use for one of their tasks, turned out to be a huge hit on the Big Brother stage.
The Zambian surprised everyone when he performed Ruby Ruby at the Big Brother The Chasefinale. He had everyone singing and dancing along to a song that is catchy and fun.
The Chase may be over, but the housemates and their memories will clearly last a lifetime. Let us know what your most memorable moments are by commenting below.
